About Dr. Kofi Boahene
Dr. Boahene is a Professor of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the Johns Hopkins hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He received his surgical residency training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He is board certified in both facial plastic surgery and otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Boahene's journey into medicine is detailed in his recent autobiography, " However far the stream flow : the making of the man who rebuilds faces". He is the author of several textbooks and scientific papers and has pioneered several techniques in nasal surgery, facial reanimation and skull base surgery. He is extensively involves in medical missionary work.
